This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)
…or something like this:
The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

8:45 a.m. – Wake up, stormy day, by playing some music with my current favorite playlist as always. I then took some time to respond to some current emails and group messages regarding my new advertising club I am a part of at ASU! Through this week’s module, I reflected drastically more on specifically what information I’m giving when using specific forms of media, and took the time to search what information the group requires/uses while on the app. Turns out they also take in my usage patterns to update platform ability and functionality.
9:20 a.m. – I had left to go pick up a Walmart curbside order, where I went on the app, enabled my location so the store was able to see on their end that I was, in fact, on time for my groceries.

9:40 a.m. – Went to grab some coffee and used my Black Rock app to unlock points and my membership. While I was waiting for my coffee, I decided to purchase my tickets for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Their website then led me to axs.com, where I then had to make two separate accounts with WM and AXS and provided them with my email, phone number, and city location. While checking out, I also of course provided my card information and chose “do not remember this card” as I don’t have any more need for my account with either website.

10:45 a.m. – After returning home from my errands, I relaxed on the couch for a while scrolling through TikTok, when I remembered I wanted to take my mom next weekend to a tea house. I then began to do some research on TikTok as well as Instagram and found some very good options like the English Rose Tea Room.
12:00 p.m. – Of course, still on social media while getting ready for my day. Parke is one of my favorite brands currently, as they are a very hot topic, trendy, and have one of the smartest marketing schedules in the game for Gen Z fashion and lifestyle. They recently came out with their Valentine’s Day drop, and as I did not get anything, it still did not shy me from going through all of their highlights on Instagram.
12:30 p.m. – Following that social media trance, I then went to one of my favorite Instagram pages, Adweek were they are daily posting content of ads in media of all sorts to keep us marketing girlies informed. The most recent one I saw was Kendall Jenner’s ad with Fanatics for the Super Bowl,l which WOW, such an amazing play with pop culture moments and relating it to sports betting and her ex’s being cursed for dating her.
5:00 p.m. – After having some meetings for school and clubs, I then doom scrolled on TikTok, thus actively helping their data with my behavioral patterns to update my algorithm. My personal curation on my for you page is a mix of fashion, marketing, lifestyle, religio, and high is very accurate considering those are all things I often pertain to in conversation and search.
8:00 – Went out for dinner, where my friends and I took some photos for our Instagram using the camera app, and then the whole dinner turned into us asking to send different photos to each other for us to end up archiving and not actually posting yet.
10:00 – Started to do any last-minute finishing touches to my assignment for a research and social media campaign class for edits on an intern’s headline for an advertisement post on Facebook.
10:30 – Did my last-minute scrolling through TikTok, Instagram, Pintrest where I looked at some wedding content for another class to create and get inspo for a mood board before falling asleep.
As a whole, the majority of my media is consumed by doom scrolling on social, playing music, and doing research on brands using my personal social media accounts for background. Most of the themes that pertained to my flow were a lot of longer sessions of media when I was bored and didn’t know what else to do, but also doing so after reading the learning materials and being a little more hyper aware of my information, and details of apps and websites that I wouldn’t have last week. I do now, as a whole, think differently about my personal media consumption, privacy, and limitations of where I want my information to be given out. I found at least three times today where my information being given ran through my mind, and how I immediately took notice and read the fine lines for once. I am happy to be more conscious of my decisions and have more understanding of media usage.
